Do you have a “hard gainer” dog? Or a dog that refuses to keep weight or put weight on? Well, we have the solution, Satin Balls. With years of experience with all sorts of dogs, we’ve found the perfect recipe to put healthy weight on your dog, and from our experience, they will keep it on. Without further ado;
Satin Ball Recipe
Ingredients:
- 10 lbs of cheap 80/20 Ground Beef
- 1 box Total cereal (16oz)
- 1 box instant oatmeal (42oz)
- 1 1/4 c vegetable oil
- 1 jar Wheat Germ (12oz)
- 1 1/4 c. unsulphered molasses
- 10 large eggs (raw w/shells crushed)
- 10 envelopes unflavored gelatin (0.25oz/envelope)
- 1 pinch salt

Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl or Tupperware, mix thoroughly
- Ball mixture into 10 or more portions
(I prefer feeding 2 per day so I make 20 portions) - Place in freezer bags or Tupperware and place into freezer
- Thaw as needed to feed to your dog.
DO NOT COOK!
To be honest this is best mixed with your hands. It’s messy and the molasses stinks. That being said wear some rubber/latex gloves when mixing and balling.
