Subject: Reese

Hi Paula and Dave,

Reese is adjusting well and is learning his name quickly and also has learned "Reese Come." He seems to be a very intelligent puppy, doing very well with his housebreaking and kennel training.

He loves praise, & children. He had so much fun with our 6 year old granddaughter tonight, my little 1 1/2 granddaughter is still a little timid of him but hasn't been around many puppies.

Our cat Raja has not come downstairs since he arrived. We big kids, my husband and I are having a great deal of fun with him as well.

He's a little love-bug, likes to give kisses.

Reese has his first appointment at the Vet for more shots on July 14th. His ears are standing up more today.

Here's a picture of Reese playing with his toys. Will send more pictures next month.

He's a wonderful little boy and loved very much already.

Subject: Reese Playing in the Sandbox

Hi Paula and Dave,

Reese is growing all the time and I'm teaching him several things. I am working on Leash walking, taking him behind our house through the wooded trails, which is much better than road walking. He certainly needs a lot more practice on this, as he sometimes likes to get ahead of me. He is totally Kennel trained and will go in it, when told. He has his name mastered and actually comes to his command "Reese Come."

He has proven this to me, on a couple "stressful" occasions he will do it. Once was at my daughter's where he was chasing around her dog playing, when her dog went through a hole in the fence and when I called him, he immediately came back. This morning he was taking off after our cat outside and again, he came back to his command. He sits when he is asked.

I have Gary block Reese's eyes, while I run and hide. Reese always finds me, as he follows my voice, as I call for him to "Come."

I am teaching him to sit outside the door before coming in, so I can get through the door first and he does well on this.

He is a very quick learner and am enrolling him in Dog Classes come September.

Here are a couple pictures of Reese and my granddaughter playing together in the sandbox. He was having a blast. He is a beautiful pup, who is VERY sociable..

Thank You, Marta Quilliam

Subject: Reese Enjoying What He Likes Best

Hi Paula and Dave,

As you will see, his ears are standing so gracefully and beautifully now. Couldn't resist but to send these photos of Reese doing what he likes best. He just loves to go out for walks on the trails in the backyard, which we are now doing twice a day, a half an hour at a time.

I had him off leash to take his pictures and he stayed right with me. He is learning quickly and we are now working on " Down," which he does well. Getting more control on the leash where he doesn't dash ahead and I use, "At Ease," to slow him down.

He now knows what "Go Potty Potty" means and usually does when he is asked outdoors. Gary made the mistake of asking him, "if he had to go Potty Potty while still in the house and he did on the kitchen floor!

He is doing well on potty training and has not ever done a number two in the house. He certainly knows what "Is Reese a good boy" means and will come, sit next to me and wait for a treat, understanding more words and commands.

He is learning to "stay" but not at a long distance before he comes on his own. Little by little and he'll learn. We are teaching him not to snatch the treats out of our fingers and tell him "to be nice"

Others are quite impressed with his intelligence and beauty. He seems to be the "eye catcher" with the neighbors and those who never stopped before, are now stopping just to look and meet him.

Tomorrow we are hoping to take him out on the boat for the first time. He loves to go for a car ride with us and very good when he does.

We appreciate so much, you letting us be one of the lucky buyers of such an extraordinary pup.

Subject: Reese

Hi Paula and Dave,

We took Reese in to see the Vet yesterday and he received his shots, to include Booster and Rabies, also a dose for Kennel Cough and Heart Worm Pill Prevention. Also we must give him the dose for fleas/worms prevention. He was rather under the weather last night, quite sore from the shots and not feeling himself at all. He goes back next month for another booster...they will be giving us a call shortly, as we are now making the arrangements for him to be neutered in September.

We must tell you, our Vet was quite impressed with Reese intelligence, excellent stance and socialization skills. His back feet are on the "pigeon toe" side but the Vet claims he should outgrow this.

She was also impressed on both of you as breeders and everything you do for the puppies before you sell them, saying "you two certainly care for your dogs."

We are also making the arrangements for Reese to go to Puppy School. Hopefully now with yesterday's vaccinations he should be all ready to go.

 Thank You for everything

Marta and Gary Quilliam
