Paula,
First of all we want to thank you for the wonderful job you did with Libby. She
is a totally different dog now. As soon as you left we put away all of her toys
an threw out all of her rib bones.
When I was fixing dinner she was put behind her boundary line an she never once tried to cross it. She stayed there all through dinner and while I cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes.
When I
was ready to feed her she was once again put at her boundary line an never tried
to cross it. I went an got her and brought her to her food. I set the timer
for 30 minutes and as soon as it went off I took her food away.
We have left
the leash on her at all times except when she was in the kennel for the night.
I worked with her with the kennel and the treats. When it was time for bed I
took her out on her leash to go to the bathroom, brought her in let her calm
down a few minutes then I told her to go to the kennel which she did with little
resistance. I took off her leash and gave her the kong. She spent the entire
night in the kennel with no barking at all. Not one time did she bark.
I got up this morning, went to the bathroom, made coffee, then I let Libby out of the kennel. Took her out on the leash to go to the bathroom. When we came in she waited for me to come in first, then she followed. Once in the house she stayed right on the runner until I told her she could move. My husband left three times after you left an there was not once a problem at the door. Leaving or coming she did not act up at all.She has not once since you were here barked at the birds or jumped at the door.
It is just amazing, I can't thank you enough.
I think we only had to use the correction on her a couple of times after you left, she does very well with the warning. Today will be the test when the mail lady comes. I am going to make sure that I am home so I can re-enforce the not barking at her if she starts to do it.
